Refinishing

Hardwood Floor Refinishing is our specialty. Laying flooring is simple carpentry. Finishing is not simple, takes lots of equipment, and learned techniques.

We can do wonders with old floors that have been neglected for decades! "Better than new" is what we try to do.

Often, new homes receive only two coats of finish on the floors when the home is built. Within five years or so, the finish may have worn through, requiring a re-sanding and finishing.

Older homes often have been victims of "do-it-yourself" sanders using rental equipment. Pets, water from planters, and carpet shampooing also impact older floors over the years. Usually all of these conditions can be overcome with re-sanding and finishing.

Re-Coating

Depending on the wear and tear your floor received, it may be ready for application of an additional coat of finish after 5 to 10 years of use. This s a simple, one day process that restores luster to the floor and reseals the surface for daily maintenance. You are ready for a re-coat if the floors are dull and scuff marks are apparent in high traffic areas. Call us when you suspect the need for a re-coat. It will save lots of $dollars$ versus waiting until you are in need of a complete refinish.
